Kelly - Kango

The Kelly is named after a Hermes handbag design, which Grace Kelly apparently "fell in love with" after using it as a prop in the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock movie To catch a Thief. Kelly was photographed by paparazzi after her marriage to Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956, hiding her "baby bump". The handbag was associated with Grace Kelly from this date on

The original shape was a trapezium of rigid construction including a stiffening layer between the outer ostrich leather & inner lining. Four studs on the bottom allow the bag to stand on the ground.  It has a distinctive lock closure made from Italian nickel silver. The removable single ostrich leather shoulder strap is a comfortable 2cm wide and adjustable to maximum of 106cm length.
